6 Google Sheets Lead Generation Recruiting Tools

I stumbled upon this lead generation website while looking for more web scraping tools several months back. I was amazed at all the free lead generation tools that this company GrowthPacks has created. I know there’s better scraping/auto-enriching tools out on the market but they are premium and require licensing. These (Google Sheets) tools are simple yet extremely useful for the frugal Sourcer!  If you don’t have budget but still want to get into scraping and data collecting these tools can push you in that direction. Also, I normally just review Browser Extensions so it was fun finding tools that could be used within Google Sheets.

The tools that Growthpacks has created are: LinkedIn Prospector, Company Domain Match, Company Name Lookup, LinkedIn Search, Twitter Profile Search, and Facebook Prospector. Below I’ve written quick write up about each individual tool:

1. LinkedIn Prospector – Marketing Tool

The LinkedIn Prospector tool enables you to to easily find LinkedIn leads based on a list of your leads Name, Company and/or Position. Basically, if you have a list of names in Google sheets this tool will enrich that data with the users LinkedIn profile URL. It’s a huge time saver if you had a large list of leads and wanted to cross-reference it with LinkedIn.
It’s a great tool works that works well with LinkedIn sales navigator & LinkedIn recruiter enabling you to easily find and check LinkedIn profiles on a given list.

This tool enables you to easily pull LinkedIn profile data based on the following:

  • Name + Company name (Default)
  • Company name + Title
  • Name + Title
  • Name
  • Company name
  • Job Title

My thoughts…The tools 2-6 are more like add-on’s to the prospector tool.

2. Company Domain Tool

Say you have a list of company names but don’ have the website URL. Given a list of company names, this domain search tool will find the most likely website URL for each Company name on the list. It’s a huge time saver if you’re building out a list of competitors or companies to target.

3. Company Name Lookup

Same concept from above – say you have a domain but want to find the companies official name?
Given a list of website domains, Company name lookup will find their official company name for each website on the list. (e.g nytimes.com –> The New York Times).

4. LinkedIn Search

LinkedIn Search enables you to jump directly to LinkedIn Searches based on your list of leads and find their profiles. This is more of an add-on feature to the LinkedIn Prospector tool above.

5. Twitter Search

Twitter hand and profile search enables you to easily find Twitter user profile links based on a list of prospects. Say you have a list of leads and want to see if they have an active Twitter account? This tool searches based off name/contact details to find a users account.

6. Facebook Search

Facebook Profile search enables you to match Facebook profiles based on a list of prospects (Name and/or Company). Maybe you want to connect directly with your leads on Facebook? This tool will find the best match based off the users name/contact details. I played around with this feature it was about 40-50% accurate at the time. Again, it’s certainly will help you cut down on mundane search tasks in general!
