Review of Vettery a Marketplace Hiring Platform

I had the opportunity to demo Vettery this week. Jonathan and Brook from the team walked me through the marketplace hiring platform. Whether you’re building out your tech, sales, or business teams, this tool vets talent across a spectrum of skills and experiences.

The team at Vettery attracts and engages candidates to sign up for this platform. They only allow candidates who are “actively open” to a new role to join the platform. Majority of the candidates are mid to senior level with an average of 6+ years of professional experience. The platform does not focus on bootcamp or entry level candidates.

They have roughly 90k active users within the platform and continuously add new leads every Monday morning. They are currently in over 22 Cities across the globe. Overall, their leads are primarily in the Tech, Finance, and Sales space.

Vettery offers a hiring solution than is up to 4X faster than job boards, passive sourcing tools, and staffing agencies with our:

  • 1000+ new vetted candidates added weekly for quality and intent
  • 100% candidate response rate in 72 business hours
  • 60% interview acceptance rate
  • 75% offer acceptance rate

Advanced Search Features:

  • Easily create a role and search for candidates using intuitive filters.
  • You can list out additional requirements within a search.
  • AND/OR Boolean searching features.
  • Search for leads who have expressed interest in your company.
  • Search for leads willing to relocate or work remotely.

Diversity Partnerships

The team has partnered with many tech related BLNA networks including #HIREBLACK (a global organization that is aiming to place and promote 10,000 black women by 2021) , Girls Who Code, Year Up, Dress for Success, TechNYC Summer Bridge, and Vettery’s sister company General Assembly (a global leader in reskilling talent, to help drive increased diversity). In a whitepaper recently released by Vettery, they outline how remote work can promote Diversity and Inclusion in the workplace, as well as how to easily source for remote candidates using Vettery’s “Remote” toggle.

Here’s what I like about this tool:

  • Candidates are required to respond within 3 days.
  • Easily integrate your calendar with Gmail and Outlook.
  • Once a profile responds they have to auto schedule a time to speak with you! No back and forth compared to other platforms.
  • Add notes on profiles and easily tag a profile for further review from an HM or team member.
  • If another team member reaches you cannot reach out as well.
  • Easily Integrate into your ATS system. They currently connect with Greenhouse and Lever automatically.

Additional Questions that the team answered for me:

1. What cities does Vettery work in?

Vettery candidates are based in the U.S., Canada, Ireland, and the U.K., and many are open to remote opportunities. Candidates indicate their preferences so hiring managers can filter accordingly.

2. Is Vettery a staffing agency?

No. Staffing agencies essentially act as a broker between you and the candidate. Vettery is a hiring marketplace. We create transparency between you and the candidate by bringing active employers and active candidates to the same place and allowing you to reach out to them directly.

3. What does Vettery cost to use?

Vettery has three pricing models:

1. Starter Plan No up-front commitment, no access fee. Best for ad hoc hiring needs and small teams. The fee for a single placement is 15% of the candidate’s first-year salary.

2. Premium Plan Small access fee, reduced hiring fees. Best for teams with limited hiring needs. The fee for a single placement is 10% of the candidate’s first-year salary.

3. Unlimited Plan Yearly contract with zero hiring fees! Best for large or growing teams with constant hiring needs.

There’s several other companies that offer a similar marketplace candidate searching platforms. Overall, I say Vettery has a ton of great features that other platforms don’t take into account like – ATS integration, calendar scheduling, and diversity sourcing options.
