Tabs

As a Recruiter or Talent Sourcer, I’m sure you log into your laptop every morning and go through your daily routine: Checking emails, social media sites, and the latest news etc. One thing that I’ve really struggled with in Talent Sourcing is the amount of tabs that I have open on my computer. It’s almost embarrassing, I have too many things going on all at once and it’s virtually endless. It’s very easy to get distracted and lose my focus when things get unorganized.

So, I wanted to put together a list of new extensions that help simplify different tasks within your searched tabs. Here’s some of my favorite new tools that I’ve been exploring in the chrome store lately.

1. Toby Extension

Is a fantastic extension that helps organize bookmarks better. It’s has over 100K monthly users and I highly recommend checking it out. Once synchronize everything within Toby it allows you keep everything in neat folders. It’s truly a lifesaver for tracking and managing large saved lists.

2. New Tab Draft

Use this extension to create a large notepad within your tabs. It’s a quick solution when taking notes or screening applicants to save everything in one place. I’m old school when it comes to using the desktop notepad. It’s basically the same thing but on a larger tab and you can save everything very quickly.

3. Markdown Tab

Very Similar to the new tab draft extension, Markdown New Tab lets you take and save notes whenever you open up a new tab. And that which you write also persists through browser sessions.

4. Speed 2 Dial

This extension allows you to save all your favorite sites in a drop down button area. It’s a quick way to start your day when you have all your main sourcing sites that you use. For example: I have my go to sites listed on this tab: ATS/CRM site, LinkedIn, GitHub, & WizardSourcer Blog!! etc.

5. Initab

If you source for Developers this extensions helps organize what’s happening in there world. You can save reddit subreddits, github updates, StackOverFlow history, and other important intel from other websites. It’s a great way to keep updated on recent news.

6. Sametab

Is a great way to communicate with remote teams fairly quickly. They can all login and write quick updates on team projects within this tab page. You can send out announcements or add helpful resources for team members who may not sit in the same location.

7. Onetab

OneTab quickly compresses all of your open tabs into a single tab page with links to all of the Web pages you had open, allowing you to flush all of the tabs from your browser, while still allowing you to go back to them for easy reference right after.

Did I miss any extensions that help save you time? Leave a comment below and let me know!
