Are you searching for the best option to track your emails? If yes, then this post is for you. Recruiting involves a lot of going through back and forth over email with applicants. So, knowing that the recipient is viewing and responding to your emails is important. Communication with applicants is probably the most important part of what recruiters handle. Before I highlight the best tracking options for Gmail and Outlook I wanted to answer some questions.

Why should Sourcers & Recruiters track emails?

The same way email marketers track open rates you can do the same for recruiting. Our industry is ever changing and the lines between marketing and recruiting continue to blend together. By tracking you can see if applicants are viewing your emails. Communicating can be the biggest time sucker so having a tool that tracks views/response can come in handy.

Is tracking an ethical practice?

In some ways, email tracking is like spying on someone. But, these types of tools have been widely used since the creation of the internet. So, it’s totally fine to be using a tracker tool.

How does email tracking work?

The email tracking tools place an invisible image inside your emails and once the recipient clicks/opens the email you will be notified. The users will not know that they are being tracked.
