The recruitment and HR industry continues to change at a high space. With the release of new AI tools recruiting technology continues to outpace other fields. In order to stay updated on recent trends I wanted to put together a list of recruitment thought leaders and authors who are writing about all of these trends.
Why should recruiters keep learning?
Recruiters should keep learning to stay current with industry trends, advancements in technology, and changes in the job market. This allows them to more effectively attract and retain top talent, and improve their own skills and knowledge in areas such as sourcing, interviewing, and negotiation. Additionally, ongoing learning helps recruiters maintain a competitive edge in a rapidly evolving field and provides opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Here’s my favorite recruiting authors to follow:
Stay updated with the latest recruitment trends by following top thought leaders and recruiting in the sourcing industry. These influencers share their insights and experiences on leadership, hiring, HR, staffing, and sourcing technology. By keeping up with the latest trends, recruiters can adapt and remain relevant in an ever changing industry.

He began his career at one of the world’s largest RPO staffing firms and quickly became a leading expert in sourcing within a company of 5,000 recruiters. He has an extensive background in sourcing and recruiting for niche fields such as Information Technology, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Operations. He’s written over 16 recruiting books and is the sole founder of the talent sourcing blog wizardsourcer.com.
Final Thoughts:
I have always admired recruiting authors such as Hung and Irina, but felt intimidated to contribute at their level. However, with the guidance of my sourcing mentors, Brian Fink and Pete Radcliff, I made a conscious effort to improve my skills and knowledge. I launched a sourcing blog and started creating a weekly blog, despite my fears of struggling with dyslexia and posting content online. Through persistence and dedication, I was able to build a list of topics to write about, eventually resulting in the self-publication of over 16 recruiting books. The positive support from the community has made my dream of becoming a successful author a reality. I cannot thank you (the reader) all enough for everything!
