Review of DiG Facebook Group Scraper Extension

Bret Feig recently did a review of a new Facebook scraping extension called: DiG. This tool was recently launched in the chrome store and has around 150 active users. It’s exciting to learn about an extension that’s so cutting edge. Unfortunately, LinkedIn continues to decline due to misuse and spam. Many highly qualified applicants don’t check LinkedIn that often due to those reasons. So, Facebook has become the new playground for Sourcers.

I know there’s several Facebook scraping tools that offer a similar function with extracting data from Facebook Group ID’s i.e (Toolkit for FB, FB Audience Blaster, & Grouply). This extension offers very similar features and the nice part it’s completely free for the moment. Bret recently did a great review-video of this extension tool and I’ve included it below:

How the Extension Works:

  1. Download the extension in chrome store.
  2. Go to the Facebook Group URL that you want to extract member data from.
  3. This tool offers 3 option for extracting data: Get Page Likes, Get Group Members, and Get Even members.
  4. Select one of the 3 options and then add your email.
  5. Once you click (Dig it) it will send you that extracted CSV Facebook Group member data.
  6. Next check your email – the data includes ID, Name, and Company info.
  7. Finally, you can use other tools like ZAPinfo to enrich with contact information.

Overall, it’s a great tool to review further. It’s completely free and gives a lot of valuable data. I recommend using this tool with others like ZAPinfo and Hiretual to enrich the data.
