My Favorite Extension of 2018: GlossaryTech

We’re seeing a lot of change in the recruitment technology space and it’s definitely an exciting time to be in the talent sourcing world. An extension that was first introduced by Dean Da Costa back in late February has really taken off in the sourcing world. The extension is called: GlossaryTech. This app allows users to quickly see definitions of tech-related keywords. I’ve used this app to quickly understand different types of tech skill-sets.

In the past, when searching on Linkedin or Github profiles there we’re certain keywords that I would have to research further on Wikipedia or Google. This caused me to lose valuable time throughout my week to research and understand other keywords. Also, it was good to understand other keywords that correlated to what I was searching for. I’ve been talent sourcing for over 8 years now and in order to source and qualify applicants better, you really need to understand the field that you’re sourcing in. So, having an app extension like GlossaryTech is really invaluable to my success as a Talent Sourcer.

You can use this extension on sites like: LinkedIn, GitHub, or StackOverflow.
